SAGRESSMART

Powered by artificial intelligence and earth observation, SAGRESSMART provides solutions to improve efficiencies and success in seafloor mineral exploration and investment. As a way to increase knowledge, reduce risk and uncertainty, and assess mineral potential, SAGRESSMART is designed to simplify and reduce the time spent compiling, managing and interpreting data and concentrate efforts on the evaluation and raking of high-value targets.

Saturnalia

Saturnalia aims to assess the quality of grapes and consequently of wine all over the world, by exploiting satellite imagery and data supplied by weather stations. The combination of algorithms and machine learning allows to deliver highly detailed and accurate reports on vineyards, taking into account the market needs.

PLATIN

Status date: 22 September 2020

The aim of PLATIN is to develop a satcom-enabled platform to support flight operations in real-time (aircraft manufacturers’ flight tests, science flights, UAV surveillance flights). This service is a major evolution of the already existing PLANET service. Innovations in PLATIN are focusing on the integration of a new generation of Satcom (Iridium Certus) allowing new applicative services such as video/high-resolution images transmission or bulk telemetry thanks to higher throughputs.

The sustainability and tech company Sobolt proposes Natura.ai: A smart tool intended to assist nature mapping and management planning. Sentinels for Habitat is the further development and subsequent assessment of these functionalities. By combining artificial intelligence (AI) with earth observation data from Sentinel-2, we improve Natura.ai’s existing algorithm; ultimately helping bring better nature monitoring practices.

MONITORED AI

Climate change poses a number of challenges for farmers worldwide. OPT/NET B.V developed an AI-driven platform that generates timely and valuable insights about farmland conditions to individual farmers & large agri producers in predominantly cloud covered high latitude coastal areas facing challenging weather patterns. The solution is expected to lead to up-to-10% increase of respective yields and more than 10% reduction of the associated costs and wastage.

FAMOS

The principal objective of the FAMOS project is to develop a comprehensive forest status monitoring system tailored to the requirements of commercial clients from the commodity sector, especially within the context of cocoa, palm oil, and rubber. Combining earth observation, IT technology and GNSS, the service supports target users by improving the efficiency of existing business processes.
