BirdsEyeView

Status date: 02 August 2021

Natural disasters are increasing in both frequency and severity as a result of climate-change. Few feel the impact of these extreme weather events more than farmers. BirdsEyeView combines high-resolution satellite imagery with cutting-edge analytics to provide the agricultural sector with uncomplicated financial protection in the face of natural disasters.

EXTENSION

Status date: 02 August 2021

The project aims at the creation of services for the safeguard, conservation, promotion and enjoyment of the cultural heritage by using Space assets, AR and 5G network. The initiative has as its principal user the Municipality of L’Aquila, whose heritage is willing to be prevented and enhanced thanks to the development of the app, major outcome of the project Extension.

XplorIT for Recovery

Status date: 30 July 2021

Due to the pandemic, Data Duopoly have pivoted to utilise their existing technology to help the recovery post-Covid. They can help aid social distancing on site by utilising satellite data and location data and this demonstration project will allow them to utilise this technology in 2-3 high profile venues and optimise this market opportunity before scaling to more venues.

GWSS

Status date: 30 July 2021

With rapidly growing wildfire disasters in Europe and worldwide, we see an increasing need for new technologies and applications to better monitor these fires. OroraTech is developing an innovative all-in-one global wildfire detection, alerting and monitoring service from space.

PLESS

Status date: 28 July 2021

Marine pollution in the form of plastics is a devastating problem that not only affects the whole planet ecosystem, but also represents a great socio-economic impact on human activities It is considering this ever increasing problem that there is an urge for new conceptual and technological solutions that can help to detect, monitor and mitigate the consequences of marine plastics pollution and, ultimately, contribute for the establishment of adequate policies that can contribute for its mitigation.

MOOD Decom

Status date: 28 July 2021

Feasibility study of digital services supporting decommissioning activities at sea through the provision of Earth Observation (EO)-enriched modelled MetOcean parameters relevant for operation planning and environmental impact monitoring.

SmartCane

Status date: 28 July 2021

SmartCane provides agronomic and management information derived from remote sensing to commercial sugarcane producing companies and affiliated farmer organisations– “outgrowers”. The objective of the service is to provide timely information via SMS, with which farmers and commercial sugarcane producing companies can make better decisions, which result in increased production and income per hectare and reduced use of resources.

CMM

Status date: 28 July 2021

Crop Mycotoxin Management (CMM) offers a service for an efficient management of mycotoxin contamination in wheat production. Satellite-based earth-observation data are derived to crop information and combined with terrestrial data sources to assess the infield disease risk during vegetative growth and the risk of mycotoxin accumulation at harvest. Such information support farmers in site-specific scouting activities, variable-rate applications of fungicides and selective harvesting to exclude mycotoxin contaminated grains. Furthermore, the service provides information on the regional yield in terms of quality level of wheat.
