3DE

3DE is a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution targeted at the energy sector that facilitates the management of geospatial data for Right of Way Management and Asset Inspection. Using remote sensing technologies (satellite, aircraft, and drones) combined with machine learning techniques, 3DE improves predictive maintenance work practices, increases the safety of operational personnel, and reduces Operations and Maintenance (O&M) costs.

Ag|knowledge 4.0

Status date: 26 March 2021

Ag|knowledge 4.0 improves the agricultural risk management for the stakeholders of the agri-supply chain in emerging economies. The services provided exploit various EO-technologies from remote sensing, weather satellites to GNNS to close a big information gap on operational crop monitoring in support of smallholders. The focus of the pilot-demonstration service is on India.

S-EDGE

S-EDGE is a demonstration project aims to contribute with innovative services to manage public security (Law Enforcement) through a solution, based on the use of Drones, which integrates new 5G broadband connectivity together with satellite technologies.The service is conceived to support law enforcement operations for preventing and detecting crime and/or dangerous situations for the citizens, thanks to the provision of a Drone-based surveillance solution.

FreeBreath

FreeBreath is a technical and economic feasibility study of a service improving the real-time understanding of air quality status and forecast in areas not covered by terrestrial sensors thanks to satellite EO, GNSS data and predictive analysis.

MELODY JUNIOR

Status date: 24 March 2021

MELODY is a robotic telemedicine tool, which allows a medical expert to remotely perform an ultrasound exam on a distant patient. It offers access to diagnostic capabilities to remote populations requiring ultrasonography. While it has proven to be effective on adults already, MELODY is however not approved yet for paediatric use. This activity aims therefore to develop and validate a solution allowing children to also benefit from remote ultrasound scan. This is of high interest during the COVID-19 crisis, as it will avoid travel to the rare paediatric centres while protecting medical experts from a direct exposure to the virus.

CARES

CARES is a telemedicine service developed in response to the Covid-19 crisis, which aims to monitor health conditions of quarantined population on a wide area, including remote locations, through worldwide satellite connection. The service provides information about the health of patients through the collection of measurements, their transmission via different communication methods, and their distribution to the medical authorities. The primary objective of the service is to protect doctors from the risk of contagion and limit risks for patients by avoiding their exposure to the hospital environment.
