Objectives of the service

Evento aims to eliminate ticket fraud and restore trust in live event access. By introducing geofenced ticket activation, Evento ensures that each ticket only becomes valid near the venue—making duplication and unauthorized resale virtually impossible.

The platform gives organizers full control over resale policies, pricing, and attendee management, while providing users with a secure, app-based experience that works even offline. Payments are handled via Stripe Connect, ensuring smooth, compliant transactions.

Users and their needs

Evento targets event organizers and attendees in the Czech Republic. Organizers often lack tools to manage resale, prevent fraud, or access real-time data. Attendees seek secure, accessible tickets with confidence in validity.

Core user needs include:

  • Fraud-resistant ticketing with location-based activation

  • Offline access in low-connectivity areas

  • Simple tools for managing resale and pricing

  • GDPR/PSD2-compliant payments and data handling

  • Real-time updates and venue navigation

Meeting these needs requires delivering robust features through a user-friendly interface, without adding technical or operational burden for smaller-scale organizers.
 

Service/ system concept

Evento runs on a mobile-first, cloud-based architecture. Tickets are stored offline and activated via GNSS geofencing. The backend uses Supabase with secure data control and real-time sync. Payments go through Stripe Connect with automatic revenue split. Mapbox adds smart venue navigation. 

Space Added Value

Evento uses space-based GNSS technology to ensure ticket security at the point of entry. Tickets activate only when users are near the venue, preventing fraud through duplication or early use. This geolocation-based validation offers a significant advantage over traditional platforms that rely solely on static QR codes. By combining GNSS with offline functionality, Evento enables secure access control even in areas with poor connectivity. Unlike competitors, Evento allows organizers to define resale rules and profit from secondary sales—all while maintaining full GDPR and PSD2 compliance. Space assets turn precise location into a competitive edge for both trust and control.

Current Status

Evento has successfully moved from feasibility to functional MVP and live pilot testing. Core features—geofenced ticketing, offline access, Stripe payments—were validated during real events with over 200 attendees. The platform achieved high user satisfaction and strong organizer interest, confirmed by signed Letters of Intent. Work is now focused on refining the UI/UX, enhancing ticket transfer, and preparing for commercial launch.
