GIP 4 Smart Airports

The GIP 4 Smart Airports solution provides all actors of airport ground operations (e.g. airlines, airport, handlers) with better, accurate, real-time information about ongoing turnaround operations. GIP 4 Smart Airports offers a non-intrusive, bird-eye view of airport activities, without intruding and disrupting current working practices of airport teams, while making real-time information available to everyone.

The Geo Intelligent Platform (GIP) is a platform designed to constantly monitor the reported position of all ground vehicles, planes, and persons, and notify users of the software events of interest detected by the technology. It aims at having a non-intrusive, bird-eye view of airport activities, without disrupting silos habits and way of working, and making real-time information available to everyone. It enables all individual actors of the airport ground activities, and the airport as a whole to benefit from the provided information to take better decisions, ensuring smooth operations and coordination. The first-line customers are the airports themselves in order to ensure safety procedure compliance and optimize their internal processes to guarantee performance and effectiveness in daily operations. Other customers are handling companies and airlines. The product uses Earth observation data and GNSS in order to provide high-resolution maps of airports and up-to-date indicators of their conditions to support operational, maintenance, and surveillance activities.

SIITAg

Sub-optimal fertilization decisions are causing yield losses, environmental damage, contributing to climate change, and making agriculture unsustainable in the long run. Our farmers and crop advisors need smart technology to be able to make better and faster fertilization decisions. Agricultural fertilization decision making process is complex. Existing technologies are either too expensive or too much time intensive.  As a result, majority of the farmers rely on their experience for fertilization decision, which is not data-driven thus involves lots of guess work. Spacenus wants to change that.

SIITAg

Mining air data for healthier, smarter decisions

Air quality and pollen allergies impact our health and quality of life. We are developing analytical services to mitigate the impact of air pollution and pollen on people’s health. The core of our products is the combination of satellite data with measurements from our particle sensor, creating a unique service for local pollen forecasting. Our customers are airminers - they mine their own air.

CO.DE-19

CO.DE-19 is a system for contactless delivery services based on an autonomous driving drone which allows the pick-up, transport and delivery of small packages with zero emission impact on the environment and without any human involvement needed.

CO.DE-19 is able to move indoor and outdoor in full autonomy, to recognize and avoid obstacles thanks to satellite navigation, cameras and up-to-date sensors.

UV-SAN

UV-San is a smart sanitization system which uses ultraviolet radiations to inactivate viruses and bacteria within ambulances. Relying on a patented control system, UV-SAN ensures high level of safety. UV-San can be used many times a day when the patient’s compartment is empty keeping geo-traceability of procedures carried out and reducing the time needed for the sterilization.

AGRONOBOTS

Agronobots integrates computer vision, robotics, ML & AI and combines them with air and ground based robotic systems to develop a state-of-the-art fully automated solution for non-destructive, accurate, and rapid phenotyping of potato, broadacre and vegetable crops under field trials conditions, which will provide a step change over manually collected data by qualified technicians.

SoilSignal

BePI

BePI is a health and security service employing robots which investigate people’s health status to help address the COVID-19 emergencies. Drones equipped with Artificial Intelligence patrol large areas and check gatherings and presence of people by georeferencing acquired data. Ground robots (rovers) are sent to gatherings in crowds identified by the drones; equipped with special instruments, they can check body temperature, oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate of people. Remote operators who drive the rovers can communicate with people via an integrated video and audio system installed on the rovers. Finally, a document scanner can collect personal information (IDs, cards, authorizations) and send it directly to the control room or another decision point (i.e. Police Station).

the globe due to the resulting increase in local capacity of mobile battery storage.

The Human Switch enablesincreased update and utilisation of EV technologyalong with improved load balancing to support increased utilisation of renewables, helping to improve air pollution and CO2 issues. 

The transition from fossil fuel to Electric Vehicles (EVs) will have a seismic impact in the utility, automotive and oil and gas markets as petroleum supply and infrastructure is replaced with power supply and storage.

Recent research has modelled the scale of these potentialrevenues, combining both the need for storage and V2G capabilities, where many EV owners can be aggregated into one, and their energy loads traded on the power exchanges.

Human Switch will offer twoservices; Human Switch Transitionand Live Service:

Human Switch Transition Service (Switch)–Switch helps consumers and fleet managers to make the right decisions about going electric, based on their actual driving behaviour and needs. We know that range anxiety, cost savings, carbon footprint and operational compromise are common concerns, Switch uses real world data to take the guessing out of transitioning.

Human Switch Live Service - The service allows EV owners to participate in lucrative V2G market mechanisms whilst preserving the minimum level of transport utility from their vehicle. Live helps customers make and save money through vehicle charging, by embedding EV's into the energy system.

In this project, a data privacy-compliant social distancing tool for monitoring compliance with social distancing regulations was developed. In times of COVID-19, it is important to track and monitor the number of people being present in a specific area. The tool can also document the captured visitor numbers in a web-based backend and can trigger warnings so that organizations can prove compliance to regulations.

TELEMACHUS

Telemachus is an integrated hardware/software medical system for the remote treatment and monitoring of users’ health conditions and positioning, thanks to a smart bracelet and a web platform leveraging on AI. Devised as a telemedicine tool answering the need to contain the spread of COVID-19 virus, Telemachus digitalise the interaction between Patients, Doctors and Health Authorities, and allows the monitoring of the health conditions of healthcare workers within hospitals.

AUDROS

Aim of the project is to demonstrate the two services: Drone Hunter – Antidrone effector to be installed as a part of an intruder drone detection and surveillance solution and First responder’s mobile service - a mobile UAV surveillance and monitoring solution to respond against CBRNe threat.

Both services are based on fully autonomous BVLOS services of UAV’s provided by a system consisting of a drone and a base – hangar, delivering data transfer, maintenance and several other services within the system.

ForestAI

The ForestAI project uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Earth Observation (EO) to provide an advanced forest monitoring solution globally. The service offers customers in the forestry domain with new tools to more efficiently manage their forests through up-to-date maps, deforestation alerts, and risk assessments.

Climate-proofing of buildings

Energy auditing determines the building’s energy performance before its renovation.

The key component of any energy audit is climate data.

Outdoor temperatures are used to assess the performance of heating systems.

Solar radiation is used to assess the performance of photovoltaic systems.

Using MeteoInsight, these data no longer need to come from distant weather stations and be manually post-processed.

OGOR YIELD

Making green buildings greener

Air quality impacts our health and our quality of life. Most of us spend 90% of their time indoors - but do we know if the air quality in our homes is good?

In this project, Airmine outlines smart home solutions to improve air quality in homes. We develop hyper-local outdoor air quality nowcasts and forecasts using data from our outdoor air quality sensors. By integrating local air quality data with smart home systems, the user can take predictive measures that can improve indoor home health.

GSOT

The main goal of this project is to create an augmented reality system for the 50ha Grunwald battlefield site in Poland. Visitors will be able to download the application to their smartphones and learn more about the history of the battle while visualising the deployment of all forces on site.

Saturnalia

SATWORK

SATWORK is a tool able to monitor the health status of workers in a company and to mitigate health risks at work, such as for Coronavirus. At the same time, this tool can help companies to define a new internal “welfare”, compliant to a reasonable social distancing mood and to the privacy needs of workers, which will be different based on their age and pre-existing health conditions, as well as based on the nature of their job.

A-QKD-S

This project defines an ‘Augmented Quantum Key Distribution (AQKD)’ Satellite Service that uses nanosatellites to deliver cryptographic keys for fractions of the cost of traditional satellite constellations. This service, rather than compete with large service providers, aims to augment these larger networks and could be used for on a wide range of end applications with multiple market verticals.

EO4CS

After decades of interventions in the cocoa sector and implementation of voluntary sustainability standards, the environmental impacts of cocoa production are still present. Supposedly sustainably produced cocoa is mislabelled and not produced according to sustainability standards. The EO4CS project aims at preventing food fraud of cacao by supporting the certification process for labels of sustainability with objective satellite-based earth observation information.

AGROMS

AGROMS aims to identify crop types among major ones, at the very beginning seed season, then to provide a forecast of the harvest size, by the mid-season, far before the actual harvest, with the best accuracy.  All by using Artificial Intelligence.

RAPSODY

RAPSODY, a project led by TEKEVER, will demonstrate the use of remotely piloted aerial systems (RPAS) in a wide area maritime context, through the execution of search & rescue and pollution monitoring missions. The missions will be executed in near-real scenarios over the Atlantic Ocean. The Satcom-enabled RPAS will be fully prepared and customized to perform these maritime missions, including the integration of specific payloads and the usage of specially tailored mission-oriented data fusion, data compression and automatic feature recognition and identification algorithms.

AMOR

AMOR aims to provide Public Institutions and Visitors with services dedicated to the Cultural Heritage domain, respectively for Safeguard and Fruition aspects.

Safeguard services (derived by satellite EO, UAV systems and GPR technologies) will contribute to provide information about the state of conservation of ancient monuments.

Fruition services (supported by 5G connection) will offer Mixed Reality experiences directly available on personal devices, via a dedicated mobile APP.
