TT-GSAT

TT-GSAT conceptualizes a “Test - and Training – Centre for Geo-information and SATellite-based services for rescue & emergency services” as a vendor-independent facilitator for emergency services, public authorities, industry and service providers to leverage innovations along evaluated needs and requirements in the public safety & security area. A comprehensive service portfolio is designed  which comprises scoping services for requirements analysis, proof-of-concept leveraging innovation driven demand, testing services for conformance and quality assurance, operation support services including stand-by capacities, as well as training services for emergency services staff. The system concept enables contextual end-to-end tests and demonstrations, with options to utilize dedicated testing facilities.

TransparentForests

TransparentForests, a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for mapping and data management, is designed to increase the credibility and transparency of the FSC certification process. It supports all stakeholders in engaging with, and improving the certification process. It creates opportunities for operational efficiency across the certification service delivery chain. The TransparentForests concept has applications in forest insurance, finance and biomass energy.  

aircheckr

Aircheckr creates & opens up the best available air quality data in the EU. Aircheckr translates the air quality data to the specific needs of a broad range of applications like real estate, health or sports. The data is enhanced by the power of the crowd, and it is easily interpretable & include personal recommendations.

Intelligent sensor and satellite network (ISSN)

The project is a feasibility study in order to establish whether there are sufficient market opportunities, and the technological maturity for developing a flexible and reliable intelligent sensor network where satellites are among the nodes in the network (ISSN). ISSN has a number of potential application areas in connection with Offshore Oil & Gas exploration and production, environmental surveillance in general, safety, search and rescue, transportation etc. 

LymeMAP

Status date: 02 December 2016

Lyme Borreliosis (LB) is a rapidly growing health problem in the Highlands of Scotland.  This disease, carried by ticks, is difficult to prevent because there is little information available about the risk of disease, and how to reduce it.  LymeMAP integrates data from the Scottish National Lyme Borreliosis Testing Laboratory and local doctors’ surgeries with environmental data from Earth Observation satellites, to produce interactive risk maps providing information on ticks, LB and disease hot spots. For the first time in the Highlands, visitors and the local population will have access to accurate information enabling them to reduce their risk of tick bites and LB, whilst still enjoying the countryside.

PalmOilVision

PalmOilVision aims at providing the palm oil sector with innovative, reliable and cost efficient services for increasing production sustainability and efficiency, through the integration of Earth observation imagery and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).

OWASIS-NL

How can water management authorities, agro food industries and multi-national industries benefit from improved information on water availability?The OWASIS-NL feasibility study investigated innovative services that help water managers to make more efficient use of the available water and to reduce the risk of flood and drought damage.    

AIR-Portal

Status date: 02 November 2016

The economic and technical feasibility of AIR-Portal, an air quality dashboard for European cities, was shown in this study. The consortium developed in a demand driven development the requirements of three major European cities into a working proof of concept. With this proof of concept the technical feasibility was proven, furthermore a business case was developed proving the economic feasibility.

ISSWIND

This project consists on a study to define Supporting Services for the Wind Power Industry, having in mind the possible use of space technology, assets or products and its added value, gaps and possible improvements.

DateGIS -

Status date: 22 October 2016

DateGIS is an integrated Geo-information System (GIS) for Date Palm precision agriculture. Objective of DateGIS is to provide information products and services on date farms and palm trees for:a)   Provide date farm management information to increase date production, quality and yield;b)   Development and management of a national RPW control program;c)    Reduction of farm financial losses caused by RPW infestation;d)   Improve water use efficiency, irrigation and fertilizing management.
